Keto ravioli is a delicious low-carb alternative to traditional pasta using cooked slices of cheese with a spinach and cottage cheese filling. This is a quick and easy meal ready in under 30 minutes.

Is ravioli high in carbs?

The number of carbs in ravioli can vary depending on the ingredients used in the dough and the filling. Traditional ravioli made with wheat flour pasta dough typically contain a significant amount of carbohydrates, averaging around 20-30 grams of carbs per 100-gram serving, depending on the size and thickness of the pasta and the specific recipe.

These low-carb ravioli recipe have just 2 grams net carbs for each ravioli. If you change the filling, you will need to adjust the nutritional information.

Ingredients

Just 3 ingredients are used to make this low carb ravioli, with the sauce for serving being an optional extra.

  • Provolone cheese slices - these can be substituted with mozzarella cheese slices too.
  • Cottage cheese - for a high protein filling we use cottage cheese, but ricotta or cream cheese could be used too.
  • Spinach - defrosted spinach or cooked fresh cheese make a great filling combination with the cottage cheese.
  • Marinara sauce - use a homemade keto marinara sauce or if you purchase a jar from the store, check the labels for added sugar and carb content.

How to make keto ravioli recipe

This is a quick and easy recipe you could enjoy with the kids too.

Storage

These low carb raviolis are best enjoyed fresh made. If you do have any leftovers, place them in an air tight container, lined with parchment paper and store in the refrigerator. The cheese will harden slightly. Reheat them in a microwave or in the oven.

Pair your keto ravioli with low-carb marinara sauce, pesto or a creamy alfredo sauce made with heavy cream and Parmesan cheese for a delicious meal.

Get creative with your filling! Options include cooked ground meat such as beef, turkey, or chicken seasoned with herbs and spices; a mixture of sautéed vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, and onions; or a blend of ricotta cheese, herbs, and garlic for a classic ricotta filling.

Keto Ravioli

Keto cheese ravioli offers a low-carb twist on the classic Italian favorite. These savory parcels feature a delectable filling nestled between layers of melted cheese, providing a satisfyingly cheesy bite without the guilt.

Ingredients

  • 12 slices Provolone cheese
  • ¼ cup cottage cheese
  • ½ cup defrosted spinach
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup marinara sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the Provolone slices on the parchment paper and bake for 5 minutes until the edges are golden.
  • Mix the cottage cheese, spinach, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix well.
  • Spoon a generous portion of the spinach and cottage cheese filling onto one of the cheese slices.
  • Place a slice of cooked cheese on top and press around the filling to seal.
  • Return the cheese ravioli to the oven and bake for a further 3 minutes.
  • Serve with warm Marinara sauce.
